Pacific Academy, established in 1997, is a private school for grades 7-12 located just off Interstate 5 in Encinitas, six miles north of San Diego. A majority of students at Pacific Academy come from the north county coastal area of San Diego County.

Our goal is to graduate students who are successful learners, self-managed individuals, and community contributors. We provide an atmosphere where students have every opportunity to be successful in their academics.

The schedule is similar to that of colleges and universities and provides students with the opportunity to receive education through both a traditional class setting and individual time with each teacher.

Pacific Academy is a school where students do not fall through the cracks; they are closely monitored and all the teachers strive to help each student achieve success.

Pacific Academy is a small school that promotes a community within itself; all the students work well with each other and with the teachers. Extracurricular activities are organized throughout the year such as skiing/ snowboarding, river rafting and camping trips. Day trips, such as museum and theater vista, are scheduled as part of individual class curriculum.

Students are carefully guided through coursework that helps produce self-director learner, complex thinkers, and cooperative workers. This is accomplished in a caring atmosphere which supports the student and the family. The faculty at Pacific Academy designs and implements a variety of learning experiences that actively engage the students at a high level of learning and is consistent with the school’s purpose and expected learning results.

The challenges of tomorrow will need to be addressed by a society of thoughtful and balanced individuals. Students learn in many different ways. It is important for each student to know what methods, strategies, and techniques work for him or her. Pacific Academy is an environment where the individual student is respected and expected to grow in academic excellence.
